Information Exchange Technical Committee (IETC)
Scope
This TC’s work covers the promotion, development and adoption of:
- STEP for product information interchange;
- Unicode for the characters of different languages to be represented in the computers;
- Stimulate awareness and educate in order to reduce the confusion of XML usage arising from too many XML initiatives;
- XML-based standards for B2B integration via the XML WG.
Composition
The Information Exchange Technical Committee has the following main composition:

ISO/IEC JTC1 participation
An ‘Observer’ or ‘O’ member of ISO/IEC JTC1 SC2 on Coded character sets.
