RAISS Forum Workshop on ISO/IEC 17799:2005 (E)

Jointly organized by the Regional Asia Information Security Standards (RAISS) Forum, IT Standards Committee (ITSC) and the Security Chapter of the Singapore IT Federation (SiTF), this workshop goes through what is in the New Edition of ISO/IEC 17799 (2005 version) and explains the progress in the area of ISMS standardization. This is an excellent opportunity to hear directly from Dr Angelika Plate, internationally recognized ISMS and risk consultant and co-editor of the new edition of ISO/IEC 17799, together with Mr Ted Humphreys, acknowledged father and management guru of the ISO/IEC 17799 and ISMS (BS 7799) standards and the global BS 7799 certification movement, as well as the Chair of the ISO group responsible for this work, on what the changes are, the drivers behind this new standard, certification aspects and future trends in ISMS standardization.
