Biometric Technical Committee (BTC)
Scope
- To participate, track and contribute to the International Standardisation activities and keep track of the latest progress in biometric standards development.
- To adapt and develop Singapore biometric standards.
- To promote the awareness of biometric and biometric related standards among the policy makers, academia, industry and end users through seminars, workshops and related activities.
Composition
The Biometric Technical Committee has the following main composition:
- TC Chairman - Dr Yau Wei Yun, Institute for Infocomm Research
- TC Secretary – Mr Lim Eyung, Temasek Polytechnic
ISO/IEC JTC1 participation
A ‘Participating’ or ‘P’ member of ISO/IEC JTC1/SC37 on Biometric.
